I love the look of this razor.  Raw brass, rough texture, modern appearance, well made, solid.

If this were my razor, I would allow it to develop a patina and have the areas that touch my face be polished by friction.

Since this razor is designed to be mild, I loaded a Feather blade. 

While I had no problems with my cheeks, my chin, jaw line and upper lip defied the razor. 

No matter what pressure or angle I used, the shave was not close.

As a side note, the razor reminds me of the Merkur Futur, so I included a photo of both.
