TIm,
I have a stupid question possibly….. I have been reading your posts daily and enjoy your shaves of the day but the last few days have thrown me for a loop. You say you are using a Gillette Standard…… I can find no reference to a “standard” in the databases is this a non U.S.A. model ? I see the “new standard ” but that is new improved. From the pictures it looks like a super speed and a single ring old type ……. could you clarify this is purely for my own knowledge and learning as a collector of over 100 vintage razors and this one is eluding me a bit and I need some help on this one. Thanks !!!!!!
The Standard Set included a three piece razor, baseplate attached to handle, head with long stem and a stem that attached from the bottom. The New Improved Standard is its successor.
Thanks for the link so it’s a single ring old type…. just the set is called a standard set with the blade banks and case. got it thanks for the clarification as I was lost as their is no reference to a Standard “model”
