The Black Handle Super Speed was the last iteration of a venerable line of TTO rasors. Not aggressive at all.
Arko produces copious lather (as long as I remember to use my brush.) The OS signature is a great finish.

The Harris Windsor soap makes a great lather. The Super Speed makes fast work of the whiskers. The Clubman is a perfect finish.

A big jump from 1940 to 1971. The SuperSpeed was among the most ubiquitous of the Gillette DE line. By 1971, this could have been my first razor.
Easy to load, easy to use and easy to clean.
A great shave with the SuperSpeed and the Gillette 7 o’clock Platinum blade.
The TOBS Lavender produced a thick lather with a calming scent.
Finishing with Brut Dominant. The scent reminds me of Grey Flannel. It is probably too strong of a scent for work, so I am using it on weekends.

Final Thoughts on the Milord
Final thoughts on the Milord.
As I used the 1940 Gillette Milord, I thought that the head was a bit different than the early Super Speed. The safety bar extends just a bit more on the Milord and the bend on the blade is a bit greater. From the photo, you can see that the design of the Super Speed was inspired by the Milord Tech and Ranger Tech.
